We arrived at the airport of Makassar on the 8th of February after a very long plane ride but ready to begin with this new challenge. Representatives of Politeknik were waiting for us outside the airport gates and I got my first glimpse of Makassar and the heat wave that came with it. Before arriving to the Politeknik our new friends took us to buy some local food and exchange money. Later on that day I met with the rest of the P.E.C.E.S. group and we then went out for dinner with the head of the Politeknik, Mr. Farid.
